End of Veganuary, we think not!

Our love affair with Vegan food continues
Veganuary may have ended but our love affair with Vegan food is still going strong!
At Rumours Bistro in Liskeard, the whole team loved Veganuary. We had great fun coming up with imaginative new recipe ideas, from Vegan breakfasts to Vegan main courses.
Particularly popular choices this Veganuary were our Vegan Thai Pasty, Vegan Lasagne, and Vegan Quinoa and Butternut Chilli. We even added Vegan Ice Cream, Vegan Cakes and Vegan Hot Chocolate.
And we certainly don’t intend to stop just because Veganuary is over! We’ll keep offering our customers great new special dishes on Vegan and Veggie themes.
A vegan diet involves cutting out animal products like meat, fish, dairy and eggs.
According to research by the Vegan Society, in 2019 there were 600,000 vegans in Great Britain. It is estimated this quadrupled from 150,000 in 2014.
The trend shows no signs of slowing down as more and more people discover how delicious Vegan dishes can be, with research by Finder indicating that over 2 million people in the UK will be vegan by the end of 2020.
Did the publicity about Veganuary tempt you to try some Vegan dishes for the first time? As well as being kinder to animals and better for the environment, we are willing to bet that you were impressed with the natural colours and textures of properly prepared, wholesome Vegan foods.
Take a couple of the Vegan items from our regular menu….
Our Vegetable and Chickpea Curry is bursting with flavour and delicious spices. It is served with Wild Rice, a crisp Mixed Salad and our delicious Naan Breads.
We also prepare a Homemade Beetroot, Pea and Mint Burger served in a Pretzel Bun layered with sliced Tomato, Mixed Leaf Salad & Red Onion. A scrumptious way to enjoy your veggies!
So look out for many more imaginative Vegan specials from the Rumours team in future as well as all our other great dishes.
And, of course, we would love to hear your suggestions for any new items for our menu!
